Congratulate Faumei Gonglin IPS appointed to post of DIG

The Zeliangrong community join together to congratulate Shri Faumei Gonglin IPS who is appointed to the post of DIG w.e.f. 01/01/2019.

Zeliangrong Students’ Union, Delhi (ZSUD) is grateful to her Excellency Najma Heptulla, the Hon’ble Governor of Manipur for issuing the order.

The Office of the Governor, Manipur has earlier issued Orders for closure of all alleged charges labelled against the most trusted IPS officer of the State. On 29/April 2021, the Order reads...”Now, therefore, taking into account all facts and circumstances and in compliance of the Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal, Guwahati Bench vide order dates 20.11.2020 passed in OA No. 042/00421/2018, the Governor of Manipur, is pleased to close the Departmental Enquiry in connection with alleged irregularities in the procurement of leather belt (black) with immediate effect (No. COURT-1/1/2021-DP-DP); And, in connection with the loss of Arms and Ammunitions from PHQ Arms Kote at 2nd MR Bn. with immediate effect {No. COURT-1/1/2021-DP-DP (i)}

Now that Shri Gonglin’s IPS case is settled and his long due promotion is given, it is in the greater interest of Manipur State that his dignity and honour is returned with full respect.

ZSUD could not even imagine the hardship and agony that Shri Gonglin IPS and his family must have gone through during the trial time. It is unimaginable to think how a person of integrity like Shri Gonglin IPS would be penalised for the wrong never done. Instead, the Manipur people at large has witnessed great works done by him and has hugely contributed to the betterment of the Police Department in particular.

ZSUD therefore appeal earnestly to the Government of Manipur to ensure that honour and respect is given back to Shri Gonglin IPS.

ZSUD shall always stand for justice and equality of all.
