An American woman allegedly fled her hotel quarantine room to go clubbing and shopping in Western Australia.
The 33-year-old US national flew from Cairns in Queensland to Perth on Friday, July 16 and was ordered to quarantine for 14 days at a specific hotel.
When police officers went to check in on the woman they allegedly found she'd left the hotel room and had instead visited a nightclub, a cafe and had also been shopping around Perth's CBD.
She has since been charged with five counts of failing to comply with a direction and was due to face Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old has returned a negative Covid result after having her 48 hour test, police say.
The alleged escape out of hotel quarantine comes after it was revealed a man allegedly tried to flee his room by using a makeshift rope made out of bed sheets.
The 39-year-old Queensland man had arrived on a flight into Western Australia from Brisbane about 4:15pm on Monday but had not completed a G2G pass.
The man was promptly transported to a hotel quarantine facility in Rivervale after his manual application did not meet the requirements for a travel exemption.
He was issued with a directive to leave WA in the next 48 hours and was ordered to temporarily quarantine overnight in a hotel in east Perth.
Police have alleged the man escaped the hotel around 12:45am on Tuesday, using the sheets from his bed to create a makeshift rope.

'He climbed out a window of the fourth floor room using a rope made of bed sheets and fled the area,' police said in a statement.
Officers found the alleged escapee a few hours later around 8:55am in Mount Lawley, a short 15 minute walk from Rivervale, and arrested him.
Police charged the man with failing to comply with a direction and providing false or misleading information.
A G2G pass is needed for all interstate travellers entering WA to ensure there is no risk of spreading Covid-19.
Some returning travellers who have been granted an exemption into the western state will be required to self-quarantine for two weeks upon arrival.
WA currently holds a hard border with Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria as the states scramble to control recent outbreaks of the Indian Delta variant.
