BJP President JP Nadda will now sit in the room of Parliament House where BJP's veteran leader and Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee used to sit. This room has now been allotted to JP Nadda. LK Advani has also used this room. The nameplates of Advani and Vajpayee have been removed from this room.
It is noteworthy that after leaving the post of PM, Vajpayee used to sit in this room since 2004 as the president of NDA. After that Advani started sitting in this room. However, during this time Vajpayee's nameplate was installed.
Later, when Advani ceased to be a member of the Lok Sabha, his nameplate was removed, but Vajpayee's nameplate was still there. The room remained vacant for two years after the last Lok Sabha elections.
Party sources say that Nadda will now sit regularly in this room during the session. This room will be used for mail meetings and important meetings during the session.
