Snapchat is now taking virtual avatars to the next level by introducing 3D Bitmoji for profiles. It means Snapchat users will now be able to showcase their 3D Bitmoji avatar directly on the profile. It will be visible to their friends as well as anyone who visits their profile if it is set to public.

Since digital avatars are all about customization and personalization, Snapchat's 3D Bitmoji avatars come with more than 1,200 combinations. These comprise different body poses, facial expressions, backgrounds, gestures, costumes, hairstyles, beard styles, accessories, and much more. There are also dresses from particular brands like Adidas, Nike, Jordan, and Vans with their respective signature styles.

It should be noted that 3D Bitmojis are not a new thing for Snapchat. These were originally introduced as part of Augmented Reality aka AR lenses in 2017 but have now been expanded to user profiles. The expansion makes complete sense as Snapchat has revealed that over 200 million users use Bitmojis on daily basis.

Snapchat is well-known for trying out different ways to keep users engaged to the platform. It most recently launched Spotlight, a feature inspired by TikTok and Instagram Reels. It is aimed at ensuring that users have infinite content to browse through and watch just like it happens on the aforementioned platforms.
