Deborah Knight has revealed her heartbreaking battle with infertility over the years.

The Nine and 2GB presenter, 48, spoke candidly to 9Honey about her struggles to fall pregnant before welcoming three children with husband Lindsay Dunbar.

Deborah revealed she went through 11 rounds of IVF and had two miscarriages before giving birth to her first child Darcy, admitting there was a 'cloud of sadness' hanging over her at the time.

'We weren't going to fall pregnant naturally, we were told... we had a couple of miscarriages in it. I look back at that time and I feel detached from it,' Deborah said. 

'It was like a cloud of sadness was hanging over me at the time because it is that emotional rollercoaster; that cliché very much rings true with IVF.'

Deborah admitted she would put on a happy face at work at the time, but would go home and 'crumble'.

Private struggle: Deborah said she would put on a happy face at work at the time, but would go home and 'crumble'

'I look back at myself then and I don't relate to who that person was because I was just very sad,' Deborah added. 

She said that once her first child Darcy was born, 'it was like the cloud lifted'.

She conceived Darcy and Elsa through IVF and Audrey naturally. 

Weekend Today was first to announce the birth of Audrey in January 2016, taking to both Instagram and Twitter to share the wonderful news.  

Deborah previously told Woman's Day she was shocked by the natural pregnancy, saying: 'Fertility doctors and experts said it would never happen.'
