Milwaukee Bucks President Realizes He's on Live TV During Hilarious Interview

The president of the Milwaukee Bucks was surprised to find out he was on live television when he was interviewed after his franchise won its first NBA championship in 50 years.

Peter Feigin, president of the Milwaukee Bucks in Wisconsin, was interviewed by a reporter from NBC affiliate TMJ4 News in his car outside of the team's Fiserv Forum after the Bucks were confirmed champions following a 105-98 win over the visiting Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night.

The reporter asked a smiling Feigin when the team's parade in Milwaukee would be and he immediately replied: "Thursday!" before then being told by the journalist that the interview was being broadcast live on television.

Feigin, who was looking in the opposite direction when he was told this, turned back to the reporter and shouted: "Live! Live! Get ready Milwaukee for Thursday!" before shouting again: "Parade on Thursday What! Oh my God!"

After the reporter said that winning the championship was the moment Feigin had been "working all these hours for," the Bucks' president looked into the camera and said: "Thank you Milwaukee. Thank you fans. It's unbelievable. It's a joyous celebration."

The journalist then told Feigin that his car was blocked from leaving, but he replied "I'm going to lose excitement! I don't know what else I can say!" before ending the animated interview.

Tuesday night's win meant that the Bucks won the NBA Finals 4-2, becoming just the fifth team to win the seven-game championship series after losing their first two matches.

The victory was also the first NBA championship win for the Bucks in 50 years, after they won their only previous title in 1971, when Richard Nixon was president.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, who scored 50 points in Game 6, was named Finals MVP.

Speaking to Insider before the championship-winning game on Tuesday, Feigin spoke about the franchise's stadium, the Fiserv Forum, which he helped lead the development of before it opened in 2018.

Prior to Tuesday's game, large crowds gathered outside the stadium to show the Bucks their support and Feigin spoke of his disbelief, saying: "I'd like to lie to you and say, you know, 'Hey, the master plan is working,' but I think this is really beyond expectations."

Feigin then said it was "incredible" that the stadium was hosting 65,000 for a viewing party outside for a championship series game when Milwaukee only has a population of around 590,000.

"I've been trying to kind of just casually look throughout different pro sports and events and kind of what's happened over periods of time.

"I think in Toronto, like, a city of nine or 10 million people, you've had 'Jurassic Park,' which has done maybe 10, maybe 20,000 people, which is fantastic and everything," Feigin said.

"But if you think on a kind of a scale of a state like Wisconsin and a city like Milwaukee, kind of entertaining upwards of 50,000 people for playoff games, NBA Finals games, it's kind of incredible."
