Highlights: Jeff Bezos returns to earth after touching down space in Blue Origin`s New Shepard rocket

Bezos, along with three others, Wally Funk, brother Mark Bezos and Oliver Daemen, blasted off on a New Shepard rocket from the Blue Origin launchpad in western Texas. The total time of this flight was around 11 minutes.

American billionaire Jeff Bezos flew to space today at 6.42 pm in Blue Origin`s New Shepard rocket. He has returned to earth after successfully crossing the Karman Line, which is considered the space limit.

Bezos became the second billionaire to travel in space. Before him, British businessman Richard Branson had returned after completing a flight in Virgin Galactic. However, he did not cross the Karman Line.

Blue origin`s New Shepard takes off from New Sephard Blue Origin launchpad in western Texas at 6.42 pm IST.

After a flight of about 3 minutes, Bezos` capsule separated from Blue Origin`s New Shepard rocket and proceeded into space. After flying for 4 minutes he crossed 100 km up ie the Karman line.

After a flight of about 11 minutes, the capsule landed in the desert with the help of a parachute. During this the rocket also returned to Earth.
