
Karnataka PUC 2nd Year Results 2021 LIVE Updates: The Department of Pre-University Education (PUE) declared the result of PU-II or class 12 Karnataka board exams today at 4 pm via press conference. Students can check their results at the official website – karresults.nic.in.
As many as 2,239 students have secured full marks (600/600) this year after the evaluation process. Of the total 6,66,497 students registered for II PUC exams, 95,628 have secured distinction scores as evaluation considering marks of SSLC, I PU, and II PU (internals).

The Karnataka state government had decided to promote all candidates without conducting examinations, in the wake of the Covid-19 situation. A special evaluation criterion was devised to calculate the 2nd year PUC results. As per the criteria, 45 per cent weightage will be given to marks scored for SSLC (class 10), 45 per cent to I PU marks and 10 per cent to the internal assessment marks of II PU.
The government has decided to give 35 per cent grace marks to candidates repeating the board exam. Over 76,000 candidates who have registered for the exam this year fall into this category.
Last year, the overall pass percentage was 69.20 with the Science stream at 67.28 per cent, Commerce at 65.52 per cent, and Arts at 41.27 per cent. Among districts, Udupi had topped in 2020. Around 5.95 lakh students had registered for the Karnataka PUC exams this year.
This year, 76,344 were registered as repeaters. Out of which, only 47 got distinction while 1540 got first class and 12209 got second class. As many as 62548 repeaters managed to pass Karnataka 2nd PUC exams 2021.
Out of the 2,239 students who scored 600/600 marks, a total of 1929 are from the science stream followed by commerce with 292 students and arts with only 18 students.
The online registration process for students who want to appear in exams to correct their scores will begin on July 30. Last date for online updation in SATS portal by principals in also July 30.
As many as 445 students from the Dakshina Kannada districts have secured 600/600 marks this year. The Bengaluru south lies on the second position with 302 students scoring a 100% result
In the PUC results declared today, boys have performed better than the girl students. Of the total 3,31,359 registered, a total of 60,085 boys secured distinction whereas 35,543 girls have secured distinction from the 3,35,138 registered girl students.
Students enrolled as repeaters for the year 2020-21 are promoted by awarding minimum passing marks along with 5% grace marks for the maximum marks in each subject
The Karnataka government has given an option for candiates unhappy with the score formualted as per the evaluation process this year. For candidates rejecting the results announced today, exams will be held from August 19 to September 3 without paying exam fees

All students will get their results as SMS on the mobile number registered while enrolling in the Students Achievement Tracking System (SATS). "This process has begun now," minister Kumar announced.
The aggregate marks for each such student for II PU was calculated by considering 45 per cent weightage from marks scored for SSLC (or any board equivalent Class 10), 45 per cent from I PU marks, and 10 per cent from the internal assessment marks of II PU, Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar explains.
"DPUE has taken more effort this year than the same taken to evaluate papers and announce results done during any other regular year. Formulating an aggregate score for each student has been a tedious process which has been done carefully," Minister S Suresh Kumar says.

Once the result link is activated, the websites usually crash due to heavy traffic. In such a case students can check results through SMS by following the simple steps:
