ZIM vs BAN 3rd ODI Live Score: Zimbabwe opener Chakabva smashes fifty; ZIM- 114/2 (24), Follow live updates: Winning the toss, Bangladesh decided to field first in the ongoing third and final ODI of the Bangladesh tour of Zimbabwe. The Tigers toss decision seemed to have backfired as Zimbabwe openers- Regis Chakabva and Tadiwanashe Marumani were off to a phenomenal start, making their opening partnership the best since 2019. The match is being played at Harare Sports Club.
The contest is crucial for Zimbabwe who would run errands to avoid a complete whitewash in the ongoing ODI series. The visitors, Bangladesh, on the other hand, who have already sealed the ODI series 2-0 would try clean sweeping Zimbabwe, much like they did in the one-off Test.

After picking up a fifer in the first ODI, Shakib Al Hasan featured with an unbeaten 96 as he bailed the visitors out from a tricky situation in the second ODI. Chasing 241 runs target, Bangladesh kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were reeling at 130-5 with Shakib Al Hasan holding up at one end. The all-rounder didn’t lose his calm and kept ticking the scoreboard over with single and doubles before building up an unbeaten 69 run partnership with M Saifuddin that eventually helped the visitors secure 3 wickets win and gain a 2-0 lead over the hosts. Earlier, Zimbabwe posted 240-9 with the help of Brendan Taylor’s 46 and W Madhevere’s 56. Shoriful Islam was the pick of the bowler for Bangladesh as he returned with 4-46.
Moreover, Zimbabwe would be desperate to secure a win in this final game of the series as they haven’t managed a single win so far. The three ODI will be followed by three T20Is scheduled for July 23, 25, and 27 at the same venue – Harare Sports Club, Harare.
