Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 7.87 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 4.92 crore), Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 4.31 crore), Orient Green Pwr (number of shares traded: 2.40 crore), Ibull Real Estate (number of shares traded: 2.10 crore), SAIL (number of shares traded: 1.75 crore), Tata Power (number of shares traded: 1.57 crore), Bajaj Hindusthan Su (number of shares traded: 1.46 crore), Alok Industries (number of shares traded: 1.45 crore) and PNB (number of shares traded: 1.39 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:30AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 108.3 points down at 15644.1, while BSE Sensex was down 331.44 points at 52221.96 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Asian Paints Ltd. (up 1.14 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 0.86 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (up 0.65 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (up 0.58 per cent) and Shree Cements Ltd. (up 0.51 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 2.91 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 2.67 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 2.42 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd. (down 2.36 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 2.27 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
