The torque converter in question is likely to be the 6-speed unit from the Ford EcoSport subcompact SUV. On that model, it's paired with the 1.5-litre petrol engine. Barring the new transmission choice, the Ford Figo is expected to be largely the same with the 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol motor churning out 95 bhp and 119 Nm of peak torque. It is currently available with the 5-speed manual gearbox. It's unclear if Ford India will also introduce the automatic transmission on the Aspire subcompact sedan that uses the same engines.

There won't be any other major changes to the hatchback
