Manchester City have announced Scott Carson has joined the club on a permanent basis after signing a one-year contract.
The veteran goalkeeper first joined City on loan from Derby in 2019, and that agreement was extended for another 12 months last summer.
However, the 35-year-old - who has been behind No 1 Ederson and his deputy Zack Steffen in the pecking order at City - has now joined Pep Guardiola's squad permanently after his deal at Pride Park expired earlier this summer.

The veteran goalkeeper had been in Pep Guardiola's squad on loan for the past two seasons
'It's a pleasure and a privilege to be part of the setup here at City,' Carson told the club's official website.
'To be around Pep and his backroom staff is fantastic and I feel I have learnt so much since I joined in 2019.
'The lads made me feel at home straight away and I have loved every second of my two years here.

The ex-England keeper has made just one appearance for City, a 4-3 win at Newcastle in May
'To commit for another year was such an easy decision. I want to continue pushing the other goalkeepers we have here and I want to make sure my experience rubs off on them.'
City's director of football Txiki Begiristain meanwhile added: 'Scott brings a wealth of knowledge to the squad.
'He is a former international goalkeeper who has played in lots of big games during a long career. We know he is always ready to play, if we need to call upon him.
'The lads love him, and I know his experience has been a huge help to Ederson and Zack Steffen.'

Carson has made just a solitary appearance in his two campaigns to date at the Etihad Stadium.
The former England goalkeeper made in May, when City travelled to Newcastle and won 4-3 at St James' Park courtesy of a Ferran Torres hat-trick.
Carson has also represented Liverpool, Leeds, West Brom and Wigan in his 18-year senior career, while also making four appearances for his country between 2007 and 2011.
