Dundalk manager Vinny Perth is in contention for the job of Northern Ireland U-21 boss.

The Dubliner, who only returned to his post at Oriel Park last month, 10 months after he was axed following a Champions League defeat, has helped the side revive their league form and also guided them into the second round of the Europa Conference League.

But the IFA in Belfast are interested in the Tallaght native who is currently with Dundalk on a short-term contract.
