HDFC Bank falls despite reporting 14% rise in Q1 consolidated net profit

HDFC Bank is currently trading at Rs. 1471.85, down by 49.85 points or 3.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 1521.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1491.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1491.00 and Rs. 1466.15 respectively. So far 363432 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1650.00 on 24-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 994.00 on 03-Aug-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1530.00 and Rs. 1466.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 812179.01 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 25.97%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 61.02% and 13.01% respectively.

HDFC Bank has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2021.

The bank has reported 16.08% rise in its net profit of Rs 7729.64 crore for the quarter under review as against net profit of Rs 6658.62 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased 6.73% at Rs 36771.47 crore for Q1FY22 as compared Rs 34453.28 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the bank has reported 14.36% rise in its net profit of Rs 7922.09 crore for the quarter under review as against net profit of Rs 6927.24 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 6.09% at Rs 38933.63 crore for Q1FY22 as compared Rs 36698.59 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
