Medical device and consumable material maker BenQ Medical Technology has intoduced medical masks and COVID-19 reagents used in rapid screening of COVID-19 infection, according to company chairman Peter Chen.

BenQ Medical has offered 3-Ply medical masks, disposable FFP2 respiratory masks and 3D face masks for sale in the Taiwan market and exports to the Southeast Asia, the US and Europe markets, Chen said.

Besides COVID-19 reagents, BenQ Medical has cooperated with partners to provide consulting services for ordinary people's protection against COVID-19 infection, Chen noted.

Lily Medical, BenQ Medical's affiliated maker of needle-free injection and infusion devices, has provided protective gloves used in surgical operation and diagnoses for medical staffs handling COVID-19 patients.

In addition to the Taiwan and China markets, BenQ Medical has exported own-brand portable ultrasound detectors to oversea markets including Southeast Asia, Spain, France, Australia and Brazil.

BenQ Medical has reported consolidated revenues of NT$121.4 million (US$4.32 million) for June, up 0.84% on month but down 0.18% on year; those of NT$337.2 million for the second quarter of 2021 grew 1.70% on quarter and 4.17% on year, and those of NT$668.8 million for January-June rose 7.13% on year.

BenQ Medical's shareholders have passed the distribution of a cash dividend per share of NT$1.00 for 2020, accounting for 71.94% of the corresponding net EPS of NT$1.39.
