Itanagar, Jul 19 (UNI) As many as 256 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state's infection tally to 42,820, while the death toll rose to 202 as one more succumbed to the virus.
Of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 105, followed by Lower Subansiri 30 and Lohit 25, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.
Of these, 158 patients are asymptomatic and 98 symptomatic.
According to the bulletin, a 95-year-old woman from Itanagar Capital Complex passed away on Saturday at RKM Hospital here. She died due to Covid pneumonia. The body was handed over to the family members as per Covid-19 SOP.
On a positive note, 367 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 38,407.
Active cases tally stands at 4,211.
