Market Regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) are investigating some companies of Adani Group over regulatory compliances. The news was confirmed by the Union Finance Ministry in Lok Sabha on Monday. The Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary informed the parliament in a written response to questions raised by Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra.

The news was confirmed by the Union Finance Ministry in lok sabha on Monday. The minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary informed the parliament in a written response to questions raised by trinamool congress mp Mahua Moitra.

The minister also clarified that Enforcement Directorate(ED) is not investigating the adani companies which are holding FPIs on day-to-day shares trading. Chaudhary also said that six companies belonging to adani Group are traded and listed on recognised stock exchanges in India. He also said that SEBI has indeed frozen three funds namely,  Cresta Fund Ltd.,  Albula Investment Fund Ltd., and APMS Investment Fund Ltd in june but not in connection with adani companies

TMC mp Mahua Moitra had asked the Finance Ministry for details of ownership of FPIs owning stake in adani Group. The ministry provided details based on information by SEBI.

The shares of adani Group companies fell in the market after the Finance Ministry's SEBI investigaion statement. All the stocks of other listed companies of adani Group — adani Green Energy, adani Power,  Adani Gas, adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, adani Transmission, fell on the stock exchanges list after the development.
