Pakyong, 19 Jul : According to State Health Dept Minister Dr. MK Sharma recently on 23 June out of 98 random samples sent to Kalyani for examination 97 samples was tested positive for Delta Variant. Dr. Sharma appealed it is time to strengthen , aware among ourself regarding Covid 19. Positivity rate from 01 July till date stands 18.6% , 0.59% is fatality rate. Dr. Sharma deliberated with press media that it was random sampling which includes mixed-aged group. More and more SOP and guidelines need to be intensified. At earliest symptoms needs to be predicted by exmaination unlike Covid 19 normal testing of Delta variant fails in RTPCR/RAT which can be only concluded in CT Scan. Genome Sequencing was done on 98 out of which 97 was confirmed positive of Delta Variant.
We will start combing operation since above patients have recoevered and went to respective home , their contact tracings will be done. Delta variant is more serious than Covid 19 normal. Large-scale testing is very important in mass, State will be more precise to identify locations and try stoppage in case of transmitting further ahead.
As per Dr Sharma State has Covid 19 testing and confirming facility with best equipment but for further genome sequencing, it needs to be done at molecular level which our state doesn’t have. Covid 19 Coronavirus is changing its course and signature again and again so sequencing is important everytime. This genome sequencing study is important.
