Khammam: Water for agricultural land in NSP ayacut will be released from 16 August, Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar said.
He chaired the meeting of the District Irrigation Advisory Board on Monday and reviewed the action plan for the 2021-22 Vanakalam season. He said at the event that there is enough water for farmers in Wyra and Lankasagar to carry out farm operations.
Ajay Kumar has given the assurance that there will be no shortage of water for farmers in the NSP ayacut, and that they therefore do not have to worry about water supply. There are 12 control dams under construction in the district, and they can store 0.425 tons of water once it is completed, he said.

The state government has given permission for chief engineer level to executive engineering level, any delay in the works will not be tolerated, warns Ajay Kumar, adding that about 65 lift irrigation projects need to be repaired and the work completed immediately.
ZP Chairman, L Kamalraj, District Collector RV Karnan, Rythu Bandhu Samiti District Coordinator N Venkateshwar Rao and others were present.
