Patna breathless in 75 mm of rain in one and a half hours, water entered the assembly premises, water logging on the roads

According to the Meteorological Center, 77.2 mm of rain was recorded in Patna. Apart from this, Chhapra received 70 mm of rain, Vaishali 34 mm. Meteorologists say that the maximum temperature was consistently above normal for the last days.

Due to the activation of monsoon in Bihar, it has become heavy at many places. The highest rainfall was recorded in Patna on Sunday. Patna was breathless due to heavy rain of 75 mm in one and a half hours between 11.30 pm and 1 pm.

There was water logging at places. People were troubled by water logging in all major areas of the city including Gandhi Maidan, Bailey Road, Vidhan Sabha Complex, Kargil Chowk.

According to the Meteorological Center, 77.2 mm of rain was recorded in Patna. Apart from this, Chhapra received 70 mm of rain, Vaishali 34 mm. Meteorologists say that the maximum temperature was consistently above normal for the last days.

The clouds rained heavily as the flow of moisture increased with the east wind. For the last two days, the activity of monsoon has remained in the entire state. For two days forecast is being made by the Meteorological Department regarding the condition of heavy rains. Gaya has also received 12.5 mm of rain.

According to the Meteorological Department, many parts of the state including North Bihar have received heavy rains in the last 24 hours. Of these, Forbesganj and Ramnagar received 90 mm of rain, Darbhanga, Chanpatia, Sabour, Katihar, Saulighat 70 mm, Bagaha and Tarapur 60 mm, Kolgaon, Purnia, Jhanjharpur, Samastipur 50 mm.

The mercury has come down after rain at many places in the state. Patna`s maximum temperature was 33 degrees, Bhagalpur`s Gaya 30.3 degrees, Bhagalpur 36.2 while Purnia`s 34.8 degrees Celsius. There has been a huge relief from the heat in Gaya, Vaishali, Chhapra and adjoining districts.
