Oppo's newest budget smartphone Oppo A16 has been unveiled in Indonesia. The phone has a MediaTek Helio processor and a triple camera setup on the back panel. There is a big battery to keep it running for hours without the need for a recharge. It comes with a power-saving mode, just in case you do not have a charging outlet nearby and you want to make most of the remaining juice.

The Oppo A16 sports a 6.52-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) display with a dew-drop notch. The panel offers the standard 60Hz refresh rate with 480 nits of peak brightness and 269ppi pixel density. Under the hood, it has the MediaTek Helio G35 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone has a single 32GB onboard storage variant with microSD card support.

There is a triple camera module on the top left corner of the back panel in the camera department. It features a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera on the phone is an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and housed within the notch.

The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that should last at least a day with ease. It will run ColorOS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box. Other noteworthy features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Oppo A16 has been priced at IDR 1,999,000 (around $140) for the sole 3GB/32GB variant.
