As many as 32 people lost their lives and six were injured in five separate rain-related incidents across the city. Thane: Masunda lake overflows; vegetable scrappings, garbage float under glass pathway
For the last 48 hours, Thane city has been receiving heavy rains and due to that, most lakes in the city have started overflowing. Thane's famous Masunda lake, also known as Talao Pali, too overflowed, leading to accumulation of the garbage on the edge of the lake. The garbage and vegetables scrappings were seen floating under the newly constructed glass pathway. Due to overflowing water, the fish inside the lake were also thrown out on the roadside, and vendors were spotted rushing to collect them. Full story here
