Indian Navy recruitment 2021: Apply online for 350 sailors posts for MR @joinindiannavy.gov.in
NEW DELHI: Indian Navy has invited online applications from unmarried male candidates for enrolment as sailors for Matric Recruit (MR) - October 2021 batch for course commencing October 2021.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for enrolment as sailors MR for 350 vacancies. The initial engagement is subject to successful completion of training. The initial engagement is for a period of 15 years for MR.
The applications are to be filled online only on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in and all required documents in original are to be scanned and uploaded.

Indian Navy MR Online Form 2021: Qualification & Requirement
MR Entry (Chef, Steward and Sanitary Hygienist) - Class X Pass from an educational board recognized by Central/State Government.
Age Limit
The age for Steward, Chef and Sanitary Hygienist candidates should be between 17-20 years on the day of enrolment.
Selected candidates will be employed as
Chef (MR): You will be required to prepare food as per menu (vegetarian and non-vegetarian including handling of meat products), and accounting of ration. In addition, you will also be trained in fire arms and will be allotted other duties for efficient running of organisation.
Steward (MR): You would be required to serve food in the officers' messes, as waiters, housekeeping, accounting of funds, wine and stores, preparation of menu etc. In addition, you will also be trained in fire arms and will be allotted other duties for efficient running of organisation.
Sanitary Hygienist (MR): They will be required to maintain hygiene in wash-rooms and other areas. In addition, you will also be trained in fire arms and will be allotted other duties for efficient running of organisation
Indian Navy MR Online Form 2021: Training & Advancement
Candidates selected will undergo 14 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments. Branch/ Trade will be allocated as per the requirement of Service.
Indian Navy MR Online Form 2021: Pay and allowances
During the initial training period, a stipend of Rs 14,600/- per month will be admissible. On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (Rs 21,700 - Rs 69,100). In addition, they will be paid MSP @ Rs 5200/- per month plus DA (as applicable).
Selection Criteria
Due to Covid-19 pandemic, an exception is being made in the public interest wherein approximately 1750 candidates will be called-up for written examination and PFT. The shortlisting of the candidates for written examination and PFT will be undertaken on the basis of percentage of qualifying examination (10th examination). The cut off marks may vary from state to state as vacancies have been allocated in a state-wise manner.
