Charlton-Pollard Elementary School has a new principal.
Beaumont ISD announced this week that Ariane Moore, a Beaumont native, has accepted the position.
Moore has extensive knowledge of BISD schools not only as an educator, but as a student, according to the district. She attended Caldwood Elementary, Price Elementary, Marshall Middle School and graduated from West Brook High School in 1999, according to a news release from the district.
She went on to study at Lamar University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership in 2003 after some classroom experience.
Moore spent most of her career in the classroom at Homer Drive Elementary School. Five years ago, she was promoted to assistant principal at Martin Elementary School.
In addition to her commitment to education, Moore loves to spend time with her family and friends and is a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
“I am extremely excited about the opportunity,” Moore said in a news release. “Charlton-Pollard holds a special place in my heart.”
Moore said her mother was a graduate of the 1975 class of Charlton-Pollard, and though her mother is no longer alive, Moore said she knows her mother would be proud of her.
“The lives of children, including physical, emotional, and academic, and growing them in all aspects to become successful citizens is my passion and ministry,” Moore said. “I am going to miss my Martin family, but I am so excited to expand my horizons and now have a Charlton-Pollard family.”
