Indian Oil kicks off Amrit Mahotsav with the inauguration of Madhya Pradesh & Chattisgarh’s first Model Retail Outlet

Indore, 19thJuly  2021: Indian Oil’s Executive Director & State Head, Madhya Pradesh State Office, V Satish Kumar declared KENDRIYA JAIL INDORE KALYAN SAMITI, Indore, as the first model retail outlet of Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh under the “Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” initiative. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the “Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’’ on March 12, 2021 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Independence. Indian Oil is celebrating this movement to enhance customer services at our retail outlets.

During the occasion, V Satish Kumar, Executive Director & State Head, Madhya Pradesh State Office, unveiled the digital plaque and emphasized on the importance of Aatmnirbhar Bharat. He informed that the retail outlet is fully automated & this system benefits all stakeholders. It provides transparency and control of all facets of Retail Outlet operations and the automation reinforces control and analysis of the outlet performance for customer benefit. He appreciated the customer-friendly initiatives at the RO & urged that customer service improvement and achieving excellence is the key to better management and higher sales.

Piyush Mittal, General Manager (RS) Madhya Pradesh State Office, Shubhra Dutt, DRSH, Indore Divisional Office, Rakesh Kumar Bhangre, Jail Superintendent, Central Jail, Indore, Indian Oil Officials, dealers, and customers, were present at the inauguration event.

KENDRIYA JAIL INDORE KALYAN SAMITI, has been declared as Model Retail Outlet (RO) as it offers complete fuel solution to the customers with products like Petrol, Diesel, XP95 premium petrol, SERVO lube oils, ADON, Clear blue (Diesel Exhaust fluid), etc. The RO is also the first RO of the City to offer Electric Vehicle Charging Facility. It is a beautifully built RO with all state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of the city. It is the first Retail Outlet developed by Indian Oil in association with Madhya Pradesh Jail Authorities. The Retail Outlet is being operated by the Jail Authorities.

Rakesh Kumar Bhangre, Jail Superintendent, Central Jail, Indore, thanked Indian Oil for constructing the wonderful public facility, which will generate revenues for MP Jail department’s social/benevolent activities. Select Inmates are deployed as customer attendants for servicing the customers. This will also help in proper rehabilitation and confidence-building among Jail inmates. CCTV cameras are installed all across the premises which increases the safety and security of everyone.

Piyush Mittal, General Manager (RS), Madhya Pradesh State Office in his address, appreciated the facilities at the Retail Outlet, including green initiatives like a vertical garden, PUC facility, EV charging, Solar Power. As a further responsible act towards nature, rainwater harvesting system is also provided at the retail outlet which helps in water conservation and thus maintaining the underground water level which is depleting at a high rate in Indore City.

In addition to the provision of fuels and lubes, the Retail Outlet has all modern customer-oriented facilities like Free Air facility inclusive of Nitrogen, Purified drinking water, automation, CCTV, solar power, rainwater harvesting, separate toilet facility for ladies and gents, digital payment solutions and LED lighting etc for a superb drive in experience by citizens of all walk of life. The RO also has PUC facility at the exit to monitor the level of harmful pollutants emitted through vehicles.

Indian Oil’s loyalty programs like Xtrapower Fleet Card and Xtra rewards facilities are also available at this outlet.

The celebrations commenced with a welcome address by Shubhra Dutt, DRSH, Indore DO, who gave an overview of the RO, including sales & facilities followed by a specially made A/V clip depicting all aspects of the RO.
