A member of the Cincinnati Reds' grounds crew briefly was swallowed by baseball's infamous tarp monster as he and others covered the Great American Ball Park infield at the start of a rain delay during the seventh inning Saturday night against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Cincinnati Reds grounds crew puts out the tarp in the seventh inning of the MLB baseball game between Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Great American Ball Park.

Video from Bally Sports Wisconsin:

Last September, a member of the same crew - dubbed "the hustler" - fell on the rolled-up tarp after retrieving a foul ball. That was also during a game against the Brewers.

The Enquirer's Bobby Nightengale wrote last season about how the Reds' grounds crew endeared itself to the Cubs' Anthony Rizzo.
