Amazon India, e-commerce giant on Sunday said over 100 Small Businesses including Women Entrepreneurs, aritsans, startups and weavers are launching over 2,400 new products under various categories for the upcoming Prime Day event sale. The flagship sale of Prime Day by Amazon is scheduled on July 26-27.

The  flagship sale of Prime Day by amazon is scheduled on July 26-27.

"...over 100 SMBs(Small and Medium Businesses) including brands and startups, women entrepreneurs, weavers and artisans are launching over2,400 new products across categories like fashion, beauty, jewellery, home and kitchen, lawn and garden, stationery, grocery, and electronics," an official statement said. From over 450 indian cities more than 75,000 'Local Shops on Amazon' sellers  will make their debut on amazon during the Prime Day sale occasion in india, it added.

On the Prime day sale, amazon customers will be able to enjoy the offers and widest selection while supporting lakhs of women entrepreneurs from Saheli, more than a million artisans and weavers from Karigar,  and thousands of brands and  start-ups from Launchpad and accelerate their growth, Pranav Bhasin, amazon india director (MSME) said.

Amazon india recently had announced expansion of its fulfilment network in india by launching 11 new warehouses and expansion of 9 existing facilities to increase storage capacity ahead of the Prime Day sale and the upcoming festive season. These fulfilment centres are located across states such as Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, karnataka and tamil Nadu.
