Eight new coronavirus cases & 1 death reported in Hoshiarpur dist

Hoshiarpur, Jul 18 (UNI) With eight fresh cases of COVID-19 reported Sunday , the coronavirus tally reached 30,593, while one more death took the toll to 974 in the district.
Disclosing this in a statement here Sunday evening, senior doctor Hoshiarpur, said the total active cases in the district stood at 42 while recoveries were at 29,577.
A 39-year-old person of village Kainthan succumbed to the virus during past 24 hours.
The Health Department Sunday received reports of 1,849 samples of which eight people of the district were reported corona positive.
As many as 1,639 fresh samples of suspected coronavirus patients had been sent for testing.
The health department collected total 7,02,296 samples of suspected coronavirus patients of which 6,73,092 found negative till date. Results of 1,354 samples are still awaited.
