Priyanka Gandhi makes big statement on alliance in UP Polls, says will do anything to defeat BJP

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi while talking to reporters on Sunday clarified the party`s stand on forming an alliance for the upcoming elections. Priyanka said that our aim is to defeat the BJP, for this we will make a decision according to the circumstances.

Congress general secretary and party`s Uttar Pradesh in-charge Priyanka Gandhi said her mind is "absolutely open" to alliances with other parties in the state assembly elections, but any such compromise will not be at the cost of the party`s interests. Priyanka said that her mind is completely open about the alliance with other parties in the upcoming assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh.

She further said that she cannot say right now whether the Congress will contest all 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh or will form an alliance.

She further said, "I will be staying in Uttar Pradesh that from the month of August. She said that we are strengthening our organization in the villages. We are also trying to persuade the workers who are angry with the party. She said former MPs and MLAs are also welcome to contest the elections".

Earlier on Saturday, she called upon the workers to work for 24 hours till the elections without stopping and without fear. Only then will you get the right results in the assembly elections.
