Highest single day spike of 1128 cases reported
10 more deaths take total to 1350

Imphal, July 16 2021:
Continuing the daily increase in the three figure mark for the third consecutive day, Manipur recorded her highest single day spike with 1128 cases including one Central security personnel in the last 24 hours.
The previous single day high was 1104 recorded on July 14 .
On July 15, the State had also reported 1039 new cases.
The 1128 cases were detected out of a total of 7184 samples tested in the last 24 hours and the daily positi-vity rate stands at 15.7 percent.
This means that in the last three days, Manipur has recorded 3271 cases.
With 1128 more persons testing positive, the cumulative figure of positive cases in the State has gone up to 82,688 including 3937 Central security personnel.
The death count continued to be in double digit too, with the virus claiming 10 lives in the last 24 hours.
Quoting the State Level COVID-19 Deaths Audit Committee, the COVID-19 Common Control room said that the ten deceased were from Imphal West (4), Imphal East (4), Kangpokpi (1) and Jiribam (1).The total number of deaths due to the virus is now 1350 .
The 1127 cases from amongst the general population are from Imphal East (289), Imphal West (279), Thoubal (85), Bishnupur (96), Kakching (119), Ukhrul (7), Churachandpur (125), Chandel (44), Senapati (7), Tamenglong (15), Tengnoupal (12), Jiri-bam (30) and Kangpokpi (19) .
All necessary measures such as containment and contact tracing have been taken up, said the COVID-19 Common Control Room.
The positive cases were detected during testing at RIMS (16), JNIMS (76), District Hospitals (786) and other testing centres (250).On the other hand 643 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours.
They were discharged from home isolation (268), RIMS (17), JNIMS (2), CCCs (137) and CHICs (219).The total number of recovered cases is 72,305 including 3835 Central security personnel and the recovery rate now stands at 87.44 percent.
The number of active cases is 9033 including 97 Central security personnel.
On July 15, 27,282 people received their vaccination shots to take the total of vaccinated people to 9,83,206 and out of this those who have received their second shot is 106857 .
The number of patients as on July 15 admitted/adjusted against available bed strengths in different health centres are RIMS (223/224), JNIMS (221/286), I Land Hospital (28/60), District Covid Facilities (148/347), MSF (26/30), Private Covid Hospitals (219/330) and CCCs (1271/2946) .
The grand total of admitted patients is 2136 and number of beds available is 2087.In the last 24 hours, a total of 1943 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 302 B Type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health centres across the State.
