I'm on my first cut. I've dropped 4-5 kilos since I started last month. I've been strict with the exercise and diet. Basically two meals a day, breakfast, then gym, sport drink before/during workout and chicken/turkey and broccoli + protein shake after workout. That's it for the day. I've cut out sugar/processed foods completely and fought the cravings. I have a cheat meal of a 9" meat pizza every weekend.
An hour ago I caved in for the first time and had a chocolate digestive. Who gives a **** I know, but I ate dinner about 4 hours ago and I've read contradicting posts from different people about 'insulin spikes' and that eating something sugary like a digestive(94cals) at this time will trigger a response and hinder your fat loss. Can someone give me a clear cut no BS answer whether or not this is true? Is this one 94cal chocolate biscuit 4 hours after I ate lunch going to dint my cut in the short term?
