Ind vs SL LIVE 1st ODI: Good news for Suryakumar Yadav, Shikhar Dhawan confirms that SKY will make ODI debut- Team India captain Shikhar Dhawan, who will be leading the Indian Team for the first time in the first ODI against Sri Lanka, has opened up about Indian team’s combination for the first game. Dhawan has confirmed that Suryakumar Yadav will be making his ODI debut in the first game against Sri Lanka.

Suyakumar Yadav came in limelight in the 2020 IPL, he had a stellar season where he scored 480. In IPL 2021 he gathered 173 runs in seven games. In the India vs England 2021 series, he received his maiden T20I cap. He impressed everyone in that series with his stroke-making. The right-hand batsman scored 89 runs in three games.

Speaking in the virtual press conference Dhawan said,” These ODI matches are very important to us. This is a very young said and we will love to build it. All the players should get the opportunity to represent their country and show their talent and skills.”

“We have finalised the team combination which we will disclose tomorrow. Suryakumar is a great player he has performed in the domestic as well as in the international matches that he played recently against England. I am sure that he will do great in this series as he is in great touch,” Dhawan added.
