Stamp seal of several departments have also been seized

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Police on Saturday arrested a woman involved in arms' smuggling in Bhind district. She was impersonating herself as a journalist.

The police have recovered fake identity cards of newspapers and Youtube based news channels. Besides, the police have also recovered an automatic pistol, live cartridges, knifes and stamp seal of several departments.

The live cartridges, which have been recovered from accused, are only permitted to use by security forces. The police are investigating as to how accused managed to get these cartridges.

The accused has been identified as Kusum Bhadauriya, a resident of Yadunath Nagar in Bhindi district.

Deputy superintendent of police (DSP), Poonam Thapa said that police had a specific input that Kusum Bhadauriya was involved in smuggling of arms. “We formed a team and laid trap. She was arrested from her home, when she was trying to sell a pistol,” Thapa told journalists.

According to police, police personnel contacted Bhadauriya impersonating themselves as customers. “When deal was fixed and she was to hand over the pistol, she was detained,” said police officer.
