Police identify pregnant woman killed in Friday night shooting, baby in critical condition

Cincinnati police identified the pregnant woman fatally shot Friday night in West Price. 

 Michelle McDonald, 31, died from a shooting in the 1800 block of First Avenue. 

She was found with a gunshot wound after police responded to a reported shooting at 6:40 p.m., according to a Cincinnati Police Department release.

The woman was taken by firefighters to the University of Cincinnati Hospital Medical Center.

McDonald succumbed to her injuries but hospital staff was able to deliver her baby, police said. The baby is currently in critical condition.

Antonio Wilcox, 31, has been charged in the shooting.

The investigation by the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is ongoing.
