European markets flat; U.S. stock futures inches higher

The pan-European Stoxx 600 hovering in the flat zone, with travel and leisure stocks climbed, while basic resources slipped in today’s session.

European stocks were trading in the flat territory on Friday as investors monitored economic data, corporate earnings and the spread of the delta Covid-19 variant.

The pan-European Stoxx 600 hovering in the flat zone, with travel and leisure stocks climbed, while basic resources slipped in today’s session. CAC dipped 0.52%, DAX is slightly down and FTSE was up by 0.20% at this hour.

Meanwhile, U.S. stock futures were inched fractionally higher in early premarket trade as Wall Street pored over its first major week of second-quarter corporate earnings.

On the earning front, Richemont, Rio Tinto and Ericsson will declare their numbers today, while Burberry issued a promising first-quarter trading update.
