Bitkom expects 4% revenue increase in ICT sector this year

German digital association Bitkom expects an increase in revenues for companies in the IT, telecommunications and consumer electronics sector of 4 percent this year to EUR 178.2 billion. In June, companies in the ICT sector pointed to an improved an business situation, rating it as "very good" overall, according to a survey of Bitkom and the Ifo Institute. The Bitkom-ifo digital index rose by 5.9 points, reaching an all-time high of 40.5 points.
