World Plastic Surgery Day observed

Imphal, July 15 2021: Rotary Club of Imphal joined and supported in observation of 'World Plastic Surgery Day-2021' on the theme 'Restore Life after Burns' organised by the Department of Plastic Surgery, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal today at RIMS.

It may be noted that the department in association with Rotary Club of Imphal has been organising this particular programme since the last eight consecutive years successfully to give assistance to the burn victims and help in restoring their lives, said a press release by Rotary Club of Imphal.

Prof A Santa Singh, Director of RIMS, Prof H Priyoshakhi Devi, Medical Superintendent, Prof Sanjib Nepram, Head of Department, Dept of Plastic Surgery, Deputy MS, RIMS, Devkumar Thoudam, president of Rotary Club of Imphal along with doctors, nurses and members of the club handed over sweets to in-house patients undergoing treatment for burns in the hospital.

Financial assistance to undergo post-burn corrective surgeries was handed over to the needy patients.

Th Devkumar thanked doctors and nurses for taking care of the burn victims tirelessly to help them lead a better life after burns and help in increasing self-confidence as well as lead a meaningful life.

Prof Santa Singh, Director, RIMS thanked members of Rotary Club of Imphal for supporting such programme during this Covid-19 pandemic.
