Woman Shares Viral Recipe For Making Bacon Out of Carrots
TikTok is awash with many different creative food recipes for people to try out.
However, you'd be hard-pressed to find one as impressive as the offering recently shared by social media star Tabitha Brown.
Her genius recipe involves turning some carrots into bacon—how impressive is that?!
The video starts with Brown, who is from Eden, North Carolina, but lives in California, holding up some raw carrots.
She then tells the camera in her southern drawl: "Do you see carrots or do you see bacon? I'm about to make carrot bacon uh-huh."
The process begins with her using a peeler to slice the vegetable into thin slices, so that they can eventually look more like bacon.
The mother-of-two then adds: "Now you've got a few strips, but if you want more than this, then do that because that's your business."
She then lets the slices marinate in a bowl—which holds a mixture of liquid smoke, pepper, maple syrup, onion powder, garlic powder and smoked paprika—for two minutes.
After this she adds the carrot strips into an air fryer for five minutes. When they are done they look like crispy bacon streaks.
