1,992 Covid-19 cases, 27 more deaths in Assam

Assam’s Covid-19 cases continued to decline for the four consecutive day on Thursday but Kamrup (Metro), which covers Guwahati city, is reporting an upward trend.
According to the health department, 1992 new cases were detected after testing 1,20,908 people across the state, while 2,498 patients were discharged after recovery.
The positivity rate stood at 1.65%. On the other hand, 27 patients succumbed during the day. While Kamrup (Metro) reported 263 cases, Golaghat recorded 157 cases.
