Only registered students can submit online forms: Education Minister clarifies

Education Minister Sorokhaibam Rajen Singh said that only registered students who could not submit filled up examination forms for class X, XI and XII exams for the academic session 2020-21 can submit their forms.
In a press conference held at the office of the Minister at Old Secretariat, South Bloc today, S Rajen said that there are some misunderstandings regarding the one-time special measure for allowing students who could not submit their examination forms due to COVID-19 pandemic to submit their duly filled-up forms online.
He clarified that unnecessary claim made by students and guardians regarding the above should be stopped.
He said that some students who had registered themselves in the past few years but not in the current academic session will not be allowed for promotion to a higher class.
One should get enrolled to their respective schools and registered to the BOSEM or COHSEM for their eligibility for promotion to the next class.
Those who have not fulfilled the eligibility parameter can not claim for promotion, he added.
He further said that class X, XI and XII exams of the State have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Modalities of marking for students has also been framed by an expert committee of the Education Department.
The result of the exams is set to be declared by July, 31 .
The authorities concerned of BOSEM and COHSEM are preparing to declare the result in time, he added.
Chairman and Secretaries BOSEM and COHSEM were also present during the press conference.
