Austrian broadband connections over 100Mbps jump 68% in 2020

The number of fixed broadband connections in Austria providing 30 to 100 Mbps speeds rose by 28 percent in 2020, according to the internet monitor study conducted by regulator RTR. The number of connections at 100 Mbps speeds increased by 68 percent during the period, RTR's managing director Klaus M. Steinmaurer said. At the end of 2020, the total number of fixed-line broadband connections recorded in Austria was 2.55 million, up 3.5 percent from 2.46 million in 2019.
