If you're in Adelaide on July 22, between 3pm and 5pm, and you are an IT industry executive, then Over The Wire has a free special event on "The Future of SD-WAN and SASE" - but naturally, places are limited.
Both Over the Wire and VMware are inviting you to meet up with other thought-leaders in the IT industry to discuss connectivity in the new world.
Not only will you gain insight into the importance of secure network technologies, as you enjoy the charismatic charm of The Prohibition Liquor Co, Adelaide.
At the event, you'll:
- Understand the future of SD-WAN and SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) from a world-leading vendor, VMware
- Learn about use cases for deploying SD-WAN and SASE solutions
- Open roundtable discussion; What strategies are businesses using to adopt SASE?
The event is also being held at the Prohibition Liquor Co for good reason - you'll experience a unique venue, with exceptional food promised, and you'll enjoy a guided gin-tasting session!
So, to get a sneak peek, we interviewed VMware's Chris Evans, who is based in Adelaide, and our interview is immediately below!
WHEN: 3-5pm, Thursday 22 July 2021
WHERE: Prohibition Liquor Co, 22 Gilbert Street, Adelaide, 5000
You can register for the event here.
Here's a summary of what we spoke about:
I stared by introducing Chris and welcomed him to iTWireTV, and started by noting that Over The Wire had partnered with VMware last July to deliver managed SD-WAN services in Australia, and that last September, Over The Wire upgraded Australian radio and TV company Nova Entertainment's network with managed SD-WAN.
I asked Chris to please refresh us on the benefits of SD-WAN for modern businesses, and how the partnership with Over The Wire is going.
We spoke about the event itself, and for a sneak peek of his presentation, while obviously noting that you'll need to attend the event in person!
Chris explained some of the corporate networking and data security challenges that businesses
are facing, which encompass some of the use cases for deploying SD-WAN and SASE solutions.
I then asked Chris to tell about about the sorts of things he works on as a staff solutions engineer at VMware and Ambassador of the Office of the CTO.
Chris also explained why customers should look at VMware and Over the Wire for SASE after I asked him the question.
I then finished the interview in my usual style, asking Chris to share his memories of his first computer, a little about his own history in the world of tech, how he sees SD-WAN technologies evolving over the next couple of years, along with the rest of the industry through to 2030.
Chris then shared some of the best advice he has received in life to help him get where he is today, and I then asked him to share his final message not only to iTWire viewers and readers, but to VMware and Over the Wire's current and future customers and partners.
So, please watch the video interview above, and if you're in Adelaide and able to attend the event, please register here now!
