Nanded, Jul 15 (UNI) The Congress activists, under the leadership of PWD Minister Ashok Chavan, took out bullock cart-cycle 'morcha' on the collectorate here on Thursday, protesting against the Union government for the hike in fuel prices.
The morcha was taken out in the morning from the Old Mondha to the collectorate, where it culminated into a general meeting for a few minutes.
Addressing the gathering, Mr Chavan alleged that by enacting three agri laws, the BJP-led central government has brought the farmers on the verge of bankruptcy and now by everyday increasing prices of the fuel caused hardship in the life of common people.
He assured that the state government will not neglect the farmers and will bring a new agriculture law to solve their problems.
