Taiwan-based Foxlink, dedicated to supplying a variety of electronics components including connectors, cable assemblies, power management devices and battery packs, expects to log much better business results for the second half of the year than the first half as it will ramp up shipments of new offerings including electric skateboards.
The company said it is entering volume production of electric skateboards to fulfill orders from clients in the US, and its shipments of new peripheral devices for game consoles including joysticks and dedicated headphones will also grow steadily, generating significant growth momentum in the second half of the year.
Foxlink saw its second-quarter earnings improve significantly from a year earlier as it successfully hiked prices for its products in the quarter to reflect increased costs in industrial plastics materials.
At its recent shareholders meeting, Foxlink released its audited consolidated revenues at NT$89.552 billion (US$3.198 billion) for 2020, with net earnings reaching NT$1.967 billion. Its first-half 2021 revenues increased 2.18% on year arriving at NT$37.307 billion.
