The wait is finally over, Amazon Prime Video drops the first official teaser of Shershaah, starring Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role, the film is all set to release digitally on August 12.
The makers unveiled the teaser of the film, which is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Vikram Batra. The official handle of Amazon captioned the post, “Shershaah – Official Date Announcement…With love, pride and happiness in our hearts, we bring you the story of Shershaah starring @sidmalhotra and @kiaraaliaadvani and directed by Vishnu Varadhan. #ShershaahOnPrime Releasing on 12th August”
Siddharth will be seen essaying the role of Captain Vikram Batra. In the teaser, we get a glimpse of real footage from the Kargil War. In the end, we can also see Siddharth donning the army uniform with the name of Vikram Batra.
Vikram Batra laid down his life in the service of the nation while recapturing Indian territories from Pakistani intruders during the Kargil War in 1999. And due to his immense bravery, he was given the title of ‘Sher Shah’ (Lion King).
Directed by Vishnu Varadhan and jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Kaash Entertainment, the film also features actors Kiara Advani, Shiv Panditt, Raj Arjun, Pranay Pachauri, Himanshu Ashok Malhotra, Nikitin Dheer, Anil Charanjeett, Sahil Vaid, Shataf Figar and Pawan Chopra.
‘Shershaah’ will release on Amazon Prime Video.
