    Stock market update: Nifty Auto index falls 0.08% in a weak market

    Synopsis

    The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.08 per cent down at 10417.2.

    India 10-year bond yield rose 0.37 per cent to 6 after trading in 5.99-6.01 range.
    NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 02:29PM (IST) on Friday in a weak market.

    Balkrishna Industries (up 1.13 per cent), MRF (up 0.83 per cent), Tata Motors (up 0.71 per cent), TVS Motor Company (up 0.28 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp (up 0.23 per cent) were among the top gainers.

    Eicher Motors (down 1.86 per cent), Ashok Leyland (down 0.66 per cent), Amara Raja Batteries (down 0.59 per cent), Bharat Forge (down 0.35 per cent) and TIINDIA (down 0.32 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

    The Nifty Auto index was down 0.08 per cent at 10417.2 at the time of writing this report.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 1.15 points at 15923.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 21.51 points at 53137.34.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

    Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NALCO, Bank of Baroda and Wipro were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

    Shares of Angel Broking, Datamatics Glob, RPP Infra Proj, Motilal Oswal and Arihant Capital hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Walpar Nutritions Ltd. and Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
