Elton Jantjies will reprise his leadership role at the Lions by captaining the South Africa 'A' side that will face the Bulls in Cape Town on Saturday.
The 31-year-old playmaker headlines an exciting backline that features a range of rookies in Yaw Penxe, Aphelele Fassi, Rosko Specman and Wandisile Simelane.
In fact, the experienced Damian de Allende is the only surviving member in the back division from Wednesday's 17-13 victory over the British & Irish Lions, a selection that only provides some glue to an inexperienced group but also allows him some valuable game-time.
Meanwhile, there are also widespread changes in the pack, with only Marco van Staden and Joseph Dweba being retained.
Their selections would suggest that both are in contention for next weekend's first Test given the likely unavailability of first-choice stalwarts such as Siya Kolisi and Bongi Mbonambi, who are both still in isolation due to positive Covid-19 tests.
"We wanted another SA 'A' match to give all the players a chance to show what they are capable of before we enter the Test Series against the British & Irish Lions, and we are excited to give these players this valuable opportunity," said Nienaber.
"With several changes to the matchday squad, there won’t be much continuity from Wednesday’s match, but the game time and the chance for these players to show what they can offer on the field will be invaluable with an eye on improving our match fitness and building momentum before we enter the Test Series."
Saturday's clash at Cape Town Stadium is scheduled for 13:00.
