Digi's Q2 profit declines, revenue up 4.4% on mobile segment, device sales growth

Malaysian operator Digi saw its total revenue rise 4.4 percent sequentially and 11.4 percent year-on-year to MYR 1.61 billion in the second quarter of 2021, boosted by the mobile segment and device sales. Service revenue grew 1.7 percent year-on-year to MYR 1.34 billion amid increased internet usage. EBITDA reached MYR 743 million with a margin of 45.9 percent, while profit after tax fell 2.8 percent year-on-year to MYR 280 million.
