Fight broke out over pet dog's litter in Dombivli
THANE: In Dombivli, a dog's owner's family and her five neighbourhood families got into a fight after a pet dog littered the common passage of the building.
The video of the fight has gone viral on social media.
Following the incident, local Manpada police have registered a cross-complaint against 11 people from two groups and have arrested four people out of them.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening at the Sai Enclave building situated in Desalepada area in Dombivli (East).
The police said the dispute started when the fifth floor-based flat owner's pet dog went on the third floor where he littered on a common passage.
The members from five families from the third floor raised objections and asked the pet dog owner to clean the passage.
It is alleged pet dog owner cleaned the floor but since the smell remained, they asked dog's owner to properly clean the floor using phenyl.
However, the dog owner's family did not agree to do it which led to an argument that later turned into a fight between both groups.
In the fight, one girl has claimed to suffer injuries on her private part for which she is taking treatment. Looking at the complaint of both parties, cop registered molestation as well as assault case against both parties in the case.
Dadahari Choure, senior police inspector of Manpada police station said, "In this case, we booked 11 people from both groups and have arrested four of them while a further probe is on".
