Australians are drooling over a baker's decadent vanilla slice pies made in a $20 Kmart pie maker.

The treats are made by self-taught chef Costadina, the founder of home bakery business 'Oh My Gosh Desserts' in St Clair, 39 kilometres west of Sydney CBD.

In a post uploaded to Facebook on Wednesday night, Costadina said she made the sweets from a mixture of shortcrust and puff pastry left over from a batch of meat pies she made for her son.

A photo of the twist on the classic vanilla slice quickly sets mouths watering across the country.

'I think you should be banned from posting these desserts on social media given we can't buy them at the moment,' one woman wrote.

She added: 'it's really cruelty.'

Another tagged her friend, writing: 'How good do these look.'

And it's not the first time Costadina has delighted fans with her indulgent creations online.

Earlier this year, the baker wowed with a set of vanilla slices flavoured with Lotus Biscoff and Cadbury Caramilk.

The Caramilk slice is a caramel lovers dream, stuffed with creamy vanilla custard and topped with thick shavings of caramelised white chocolate.

Cinnamon fans might prefer the Biscoff version, packed with a rich layer of the distinctive spread and decorated with crumbled pieces of the iconic Belgian biscuit.

The slices - along with a wide range of cakes, doughnuts and pastries - can be ordered from her Instagram page, where Costadina has been selling her creations since 2015.

Her signature style of baking has attracted an audience of 11,600 followers, many of whom send custom requests via Instagram's direct message feature.
